Simon Wigdor: Grade 8

On Friday, May 12, 2017, Buckley Country Day School held its annual Grandparents’ And Special Friends’ Day. This cherished day is an occasion to welcome all grandparents and special friends into the Buckley community. It is also a chance for the visitors to compare their own days in school years past to our current experiences in our contemporary Buckley day.

Headmaster Dr. Jean-Marc Juhel welcomed the friends of Buckley in the morning with a speech to introduce them to the core principles and daily practices of the school. Later, in the Lower School, an assembly of student performances took place for the guests. In the Upper School, the grandparents and special friends accompanied students through a “normal” school day.

In all, the children enjoyed inviting their grandparents and special friends to share a special glimpse into their lives that they spend at Buckley each school day.
