Lauren Kashinsky: Grade 7
On February 12, 2016, Buckley’s annual Lunar New Year assembly took place. Eugene Park, Naomi Nishimura, Henry Yoon, and Jane Park performed in a Korean Percussion performance.
Lower School students learning Tae Kwon Do preformed an outstanding dance routine to “Gangnam Style.”
In addition, Dione Chen wrote a skit about the origin of the Lunar New Year, and Lower School students acted it out.
Overall, the Lunar New Year assembly was fantastic. With Bobby Mark and Naomi Nishimura as hosts, the assembly was a genuine success.
